I owned the original three-piece pasta attachment. The 600 and Artisan will never hold up like my Ultra. The stainless steel bowls are made of thinner gauge metal. The elimination of the beater shaft spring means attachments wiggle when mixing doughs like drop cookies. With each new mixer, I see Kitchenaid cutting corners.
